Cool off with ice cream sandwiches, grilled corn, and frozen mojitos at Habana Outpost: NYC’s first solar powered restaurant, marketplace and Eco-Eatery in Fort Greene Brooklyn. The event is free and open to the public, an effort to engage the local eco-design community and raise support for Urban Studio Brooklyn, an educational program centered around sustainable architecture. Food and drink sales from the event will go to support Urban Studio Brooklyn’s summer 2007 workshop, from August 17-25th, during which NYC architecture students will design and build an extensive water reclamation system for the Outpost.Representatives from the Hollenback Community Garden, Collective 4, edesign dynamics, Treehugger and more will be there!
